It’s funny because it’s all true. Although, Tumblr is not on there so I guess this must be actual work! :D
I’m going to appear in David Pogue’s The World According to Twitter! Look for my quote under @jager13579 when it comes out this fall :D
Should Be On the Nanny is my new favorite blog. It photoshops Fran Drescher’s head onto Nannytastic runway fashions. To this day, my dad refers to any outfit involving animal print as “Nanny clothes,” even though the show was canceled a decade ago.

Discrimination is a fact of life for many members of the LGBT community. In fact, according to CNN, almost 90 percent of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students report being harassed in some form. Likewise, recent statistics from the FBI reveal that crimes related to sexual orientation rank among the top three most common hate crimes nationwide. As recently as February of last year, a 15 year-old in California was murdered just for asking another boy in his class to be his valentine. This prejudice is oftentimes fueled by fundamentalist religious groups that decry homosexuality as sinful and immoral. The recent actions by Chi Alpha demonstrate that this discrimination is found even here at our beloved Cornell.
Last night, the Student Assembly passed Resolution 41, supporting the initiation of an S.A. investigation into the Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship and endorsing a previous Student Assembly Finance Commission decision to temporarily suspend Chi Alpha’s funds due to a suspected violation of University Policy. Chi Alpha, which is a registered student organization and receives funding from the SAFC, came under fire this week after it was released that an openly gay member had been asked to step down from his leadership position in the group.
A campus Christian group that receives funding from the student activity fee is coming under scrutiny after a student was asked by advisors to step down from its leadership team when he told them that he had openly accepted his homosexuality. This incident is also raising questions about the effectiveness of campus mechanisms for addressing instances of discrimination.
Chris Donohoe ’09, who joined the Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship when he was a freshman, said he had been openly struggling to reconcile his sexuality with his faith in Chi Alpha before he was asked to step down from the leadership team by Matt and Tracy Herman, the organization’s pastors. The Hermans, both members of Chi Alpha at Missouri State University before graduating in 2002, became Cornell Chi Alpha’s campus pastors in 2006.
